a Merry Christmas Reading

Hello Peckham Graduates!
I hope the holidays are treating you all well.
Here is a little reading practice for as a holiday treat. The lyrics to a famous song here in the U.S.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years
We all will be together,
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself A merry little Christmas now.

Reading Practice: Snowball

SNOWBALL
by Shel Silverstein

I made myself a snowball
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away,
But first- it wet the bed

Reading: Hug O' War

"Hug O' War"

I will not play at tug o' war.
Id' rather play at hug o' war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

Introduction to Peckham's ESL Class Blog

Hello class!
Welcome to Peckham's ESL (English as a Second Language) Blog.

Let me explain what a blog is. A blog is like a journal

(journal is where you write down how your day was, what are you thinking about)
but it is on the computer!

Here I will put up games, videos, and practice worksheets for you after class to practice when you have free time.

If you have any questions, please ask me in class!
